Questions to Cavalia Founder

Hi Everyone, as you may remember: Cavalia will be performing in Miami this weekend. I have been invited to attend and I will be interviewing the Founder of Cavalia in person before the show. I would like to ask you all a question: what would you like me to ask the Founder? This is your chance to find out from the Founder, what interests you about the Show, Training, etc. (Please leave a comment below along with your question, Thanks!)

Valentina, if you're talking to Normand Latourelle, I'd be curious about his perspective of the ongoing show. Does the show resemble his original vision? If not, how is it different from his original starting concept?

When I saw Cavalia a few months ago toward the end of their Chicago run, it was spectacular as always. Normand's son Mathieu provided a super backstage tour for myself and JR. You'll have a great time! I'm so glad you're going, and I'm looking forward to your article!

Could you ask if they are going to put a tour schedule on the website and where they are going to tour in the near future? The only show on the website currently is the Miami show

I'd be interested to hear how the selection process differs for each breed.

I noticed on the Cavalia site, some of the horses have pedigree information listed others don't. Why? Does pedigree matter more depending on breed?

At what age do they start looking at horses for use? Are some "born into" the program?

What is the retirement program for horses? Do they need special care after they're done performing?

What attracted you to add horses to the human element versus any other animal?

What types of music do you find works best with a horse's movement? Did you try any music that you loved that just didn't fit with the horses?

What gave him the initial idea to produce this show?

Do the horses get time off to just be horse / time to rough out?

Do they do any outreach or have any plans to do outreach that helps non equestrians understand and appreciate horses better?

Have the looked at the demographics on who comes to see Cavalia? Do they reach more than just horse people?
