West Nile Virus: Part Two?

A new type of West Nile Virus (WNV)  that normally occurs in Sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar is now being seen in Europe, specifically 18 cases were reported in Hungary in 2008. This new kind of WNV is called the "West Nile virus genetic lineage 2". The symptoms seem similar to those of genetic lineage 1 infection. 13 out of the 18 cases survived and only 10 recovered completely.
